From the lobby to the floor

Hotel and gaming floor are separate buildings on one named estate, a short walk apart.

The hotel's own page lists Alea 100 m away, a two-minute walk. They are separate buildings, but The Quay complex houses both the hotel and the casino, along with a cinema, bowling and bingo.

You reach the casino through the complex. The operator's own pages give two opening times, 10am and noon, so this site shows the later one. The complex, not the operator, says there is no membership and that Challenge 25 applies.

The week, hour by hour

Each line is one day from midnight to midnight. The wide band is the casino floor, the narrow one the live tables, and the brass tick marks when the room is ready.

The operator publishes no entry policy; the complex around it says no membership is needed and Challenge 25 applies.

The venue’s own pages give two opening times; the later one is shown. Ring ahead if the first hour matters to you.

At the door

Walk straight in: no membership card and no door charge. Staff ask for photo ID if you look under 25.

The gaming floor is for over-18s only. Under Think 25, anyone who could pass for younger is asked for a passport, a photocard driving licence or a card with the PASS hologram.

Paying downstairs

Chips are paid for in pounds, in cash or with a debit card, at the table or the cage. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain, and the house gives no credit.

Casino spending never reaches the hotel bill. Buying or cashing chips worth £2,000 or more brings identity checks required by anti-money-laundering law.

The room side

Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00. The hotel's food offer is at reception: snacks, drinks and pizza, 24 hours a day; Alea has its own restaurant and bar. There is no spa, pool or gym, and room service is not published. Nine rooms are set aside for guests with reduced mobility, and some rooms have a visual alarm for guests with hearing loss.
