From the lobby to the floor

Hotel and gaming floor are parts of one complex.

The arena, which owns the complex, describes the casino as sitting next door to the DoubleTree and inside the arena itself. Hotel and gaming floor are neighbouring parts of the same complex.

Neither a walking time from lobby to casino nor a covered route is published, so ask at the front desk for the way through on your first night. The same arena source says the casino validates car-park tickets for its own guests.

The week, hour by hour

Each line is one day from midnight to midnight. The wide band is the casino floor, the narrow one the live tables, and the brass tick marks when the room is ready.

At the door

On your first visit you sign in once, free, at reception with photo ID; after that you simply walk in.

The gaming floor is for over-18s only. Under Think 25, anyone who could pass for younger is asked for a passport, a photocard driving licence or a card with the PASS hologram.

What to wear: smart casual. The operator notes that standards can vary by venue and event, and prefers long trousers to shorts.

Paying downstairs

Chips are paid for in pounds, in cash or with a debit card, at the table or the cage. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain, and the house gives no credit.

Casino spending never reaches the hotel bill. Buying or cashing chips worth £2,000 or more brings identity checks required by anti-money-laundering law.

The room side

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00; a minimum check-in age is not published. Faradays is the dining name the hotel gives, and there is a gym, though no spa and no pool. Room service is not published. A third-party listing describes wheelchair-accessible rooms with a roll-in shower. The casino floor has its own restaurant and bar if you would rather eat nearer the tables.
