Nothing left behind in your browser

The short version

No page on lobbytothetables.com sets a cookie, whether our own or a third party's. The site does not use local storage, session storage or any similar store in your browser either. The shortlist, the Tonight planner and the filters do their work without saving anything to your device.

Why no consent banner appears

Consent is needed when a site wants to store or read information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary. This site stores and reads nothing, so there is nothing to ask permission for and no pop-up standing in front of the page.

Checking it for yourself

You need not take our word for it. In most desktop browsers:

1. Open any page on the site.
2. Click the padlock or site-information icon beside the address and look at the entry for cookies or site data; it should show none in use.
3. For a closer look, open the developer tools (often with F12), go to the Application or Storage panel, and check Cookies, Local Storage and Session Storage for lobbytothetables.com. Each should be empty.

The "near me" option is a separate matter: it uses your browser's location only if you allow it, works out the distance on your device and sends nothing.

If that ever changed

Should the site ever add something that sets a cookie or uses browser storage for a purpose that needs consent, you would be asked first, with a clear way to refuse, before anything was set. This page and the data notice would be revised at the same time.
